@Pattycatty: Use a lip exfoliator so that you get the dead skin off, and the lip balm or whatever you put on to keep it moist will absorb and work better and longer.
use toothbrush to gently brush the lips (GENTLY PLZ) during shower before bedtime. This will exfoliate the dead lip cells. Then apply Blistex or any good quality brand lip moisturizer. Dont tell everyone, it's my secret remedy!
blistex usually does it for me. in additional its important to keep urself hydrated. dehydrated, such as staying around too long in a heating environment or close to heat, not drinking water, not eating enough moist foods.
ahh, my lips are very dry as well. I use lip glosses even though I don't want to. I heard that those can make you gain weight....
^ You should know that lip gloss, without lip balm or anything else as base, will dry up your lips even though they look juicy and glossy. =_=b
^ Go hit the nearest Second Cup or Starbucks already! And I mean, if she HAS to put on lip gloss, at least put on some lip balm beforehand so that the gloss won't dry the lips out too much.
lol you won't understand that one... totally unrelated to Starbucks... here's some chapped lips for ya...
I use Anna Sui Moisturizing Touch Up Stick ( it is A LOT better then blistex, espcially for those people who havta constantly re-apply it(i know how u guys feel))
hmm... how can you get dry lips anwyays... not drinking enough water?... ive never had dry lips before...
I use this aloe vera chapstick, it really helps and it works. and drink lotsa water throughout the day
^ Of course there is... And also lip primer @_@b Lip exfoliator rubs away dead skin to facilitate the benefit of lip balm, lip primer is mostly for girls, so that the lip stick/lip gloss stays on better.
@Hiake: Never knew lip gloss will dry lips... Though i seldom use them; jz slap on lipsticks. Thanks for the tip
