ok never mind then but thanks...i'll ask my teacher 2moro...=p he asked us to find out if there were any uses for that equation.....
the first one is basic diffentiation...just use one of the 10 rules (as I remembered it) in the cover of the book. dimsum got it right. the second one is just a simple function, with k as a constant I think. usually you can see plot the graph and see the values of the lines to analyse the variable. what grade are you in?.
