I don't mind new stuff but they (old singers like JC) have to remember that most of their fans have been following them because of their "old stuff", so why not half and half instead of trying something 100% new.
Well, loyal fans like me will buy his album no matter what. He'll always have the dedicated fan base from the 80's and 90's, but maybe he wants to approach to the newer generation a little bit. I'm not sure if it's him but I think he's currently signed with 上華 and they probably have an influence in what he's making too.
