lol, my dad is viet and he speak canto, english and of course viet.
But i can't speak viet.

 

Believe it or not but I speak French Viet English Cantonese Japanese and a ridiculously small amount of Mandarin.

 

I can speak Cantonese, Vietnamese and of course English as I am tying it.

 

If you are single and available, then I offer to tutor at your door, just kiding. Cantonese is quite easy to learn. Vietnamese shares a lot of Chinese words that are still in used today

It seems like an interesting language thread. I speak English, Cantonese, Madarin, Vietnamese. I am living in Washington capital. I wonder if we can gather of group of trilingual for folks like us. I find that I like to chit chat Chinese and Vietnamese at the same time. Sometime, in my family or friend circle, we mix these two languages together and have a good laugh. But when we make a joke to those who only know either or, they of course don't get it.

PS: when i was in HK this year i bought myself a cantonese trainer, it´s really good and i recommend to everyone
it´s english - cantonese with 4 cds where u can also listen to the spelling, furthermore i can recommend u the rosetta stone language cds they are also really good

i can speak cantonese vietnamese and english ..but not well. Good way to learn cantonese is watchin tvb and karaoke or just go to HK ..hehhe

I think you are looking the right person here. Iam Chinese Vietnamese. I lived in Viet for 18 years before I moved to US. Cantonese is my mother language since all my parents are Cantonese. English..my 3rd language but I got no problem speaking or understand it. PM me.
