I'm stuck on a coordinate Geometry Question. Your help would be appreciated.

Given 2 points A(-3,1), B(2,3). The line segment cuts AB cuts y-axis at P, find the ratio AP:pB. Hence find the coordinates of P.

If you could show me the working out it would help me a lot.

    Thank in advance

    ap : pb is 3:2

    ...............................................b
    .........................p-------2------- t
    a----------3-------s

triangle asp and ptb are similair triangles so ap :ab = as : pt = 3:2

^ Pretty much. SC's just a waste of time; We're spending so much time on "revision" for SC at school, whilst at alot of tutors, they are already doing year 11 work or year 10 extension topics.
