After secretly tying the knot in 2001, Chilam Chueng (張智霖) and Anita Yuen (袁詠儀) welcomed their first and only child, Morton Cheung (張慕童). In a blink of an eye, Morton is already 11 years old and almost entering his pre-teen years. To enjoy as much time with Morton as possible, Chilam would make use of his time off from work to spend with his son.

Morton has recently become interested in skateboarding, and would often practice riding and performing tricks at home. Chilam has witnessed him fall numerous times. Instead of having Morton aimlessly and hazardously try new tricks by himself, Chilam decided to take Morton to a skateboard park to practice with some older, more experienced boys.

At first, Morton gripped tightly onto Chilam for support and stabilization. However, as soon as he warmed up to the environment, Morton let go of Chilam and started going off on his own. The watchful father kept his eye on Morton the entire time. After some words of advice from his peers, encouragement from his father, and falling several times, Morton finally got the hang of it and was able to do a few successful tricks. They played for nearly two hours before leaving.

Anita wasn't too pleased with Chilam for taking their son to skating without any proper protection (helmet & pads):noshake: .

lol I think Chilam is one of those laid back cool dads~
Guess he'll have to learn the hard way to wear protection if he falls and hurts himself

The kid is soft and protected too much. Let him play and learn at the park.

Haha yeah, I don't actually see any kids wear padding/protection at the skate parks. If anything it depends on how fast and high you're doing your tricks. If you're just doing an ollie and a grind you'll be fine even if you fall.
