ok ppl, let's go back to the basics, look around you, mamals who only have a very small brain does fight for food, territory and females; few exceptions left. so basicly war is self defense when we feel attacked. but now what is self defense? our partner going out for fun? a stupid one who cannot drive a car? or just because the last bottle of fine wine was just bought in front of your nose... we all may fight for that. about war between wountries, because their leaders have different thoughts; it's all strategics( cold war) or macroeconomy(pakistan/india), don't try to understands. especially US! (remeber, JFK who don't want to get involve in vietnam get a few free bullets from his own country.) To end the war, haha humans don't have this ability because we are born corrupt. (what would you do when you have the spend the money of your state? don't be an angel haha be honest) Some tried (karl marx; introduce the communisme fylosofie ! not the same as ussr or prc that is far from the fylosfie) next war: i guess south north, between third countries and rich one... be warned haha..... unless the nature gives us one (mega tsunamie, virus mutation...) so sweet dreams to all
war happens usually as a last resort to solving a problem. when two forces have an arguement, and it cannot be solved, they solve it using power and ppl die.
I agree with stunstrike All it comes down is for POWER land,money,religion, OIL,communist vs Non communist/democracy they are all excuses(religion/communism) or direct sources of power

I tell you something thats really stupid, instead of wasting money and lives on war, why don't people think about the future and try to solve the issue with global warming and the shortage of resources. People are fighting over the remaining resources rather then trying to invest money into research to find solutions to these problems. Assuming all religions to represent good and then using Religion as an excuse to enforce politics and views upon people is very unjust and that just goes to show that they don't understand the original purpose of religion. No respect to anyone.

Most religions taught about good things and not to kill others. It's the people that causes war. It's Hitler who wanted to kill all Jews. It's Saddam who started attacking Kuwait first which eventually got himself in trouble. About the christians even way back, if you are talking about the crusades, you see alot of things were done in the name of religion to gardner support and to be justified. It's always a few nuts who causes untold miseries for a lot of people.
people use religion a lot as a mask to cover up reasons for war. Like peole using islam to say the allah says to kill all non believers and stuff the crusades was prob about conquering lands rather than just getting back the holy land, etc
As long as there are humans, there will be war, dunno maybe its just in our nature to fight with each other
