She travels back in time to early 1800’s Hong Kong and comes across Cheung Po Tsai (Tony Hung), a powerful pirate controlling the South China Sea. The two strong personalities clashes, but after experiencing life and death together, Wong Tai Mui and Cheung Po Tsai begin to develop strong feelings for each other. The proud and arrogant Prince Man Ho (Ruco Chan), the eleventh son of the Jaiqing Emperor, enters a war with the anti-Qing Cheung Po Tsai and his crew. After a bloody naval battle, Man Ho captures Wong Tai Mui as a prisoner. Captivated by Wong Tai Mui’s progressive wisdom, Man Ho slowly falls in love and reconsiders his ambition for the crown. no offense and all...not sure if this is software on their side or budget...but I feel their CGI are still light years behind the CGIs produced in the US
while the cgi is questionable but understandable with budget concerns, the series itself sounds interesting!
wow, i cannot believe i actually watch it without skipping any scenes. Usually, the first episode decides for me whether i should continue watching this or not. So far, i like it. The last time that ive actually watch a full episode without skipping was probably one of the series from the 90s. GJ TVB!!!
Here's a preview. I don't know what to say. Some scenes the CGI look pretty decent (relative to TVB previous standards), some looks like the typical TVB CGI bs.
i see the sleeping beauty witch queen is in this along with pea eyes rucco n that clown korean, oh tow kae from ESYT. lol
let's play a little game of .... where have I seen that scene before I bet the scene where she gets curled up in a tornado is from a mixture of Palace (Yang Mi) and 3 Kingdoms RPG (Kenneth Ma)
