yea the chlorine could have had an effect. should wear googles all the time if ur eyes are sensitive. or u might have over-exerted urself so ur vision got a bit blurry but that seems unlikely considering it lasted so long and u felt fine everywhere else.

lol i remember I forgot to bring goggles one day but still swam for an hour and half, lap after lap after lap of front row. I couldn't even keep my eyes open cuz they were in so much pain. The blurriness and redness lasted for the whole night. Redness went away the next morning, but bluriness/pain was still present the whole day the next day - -""

yaa i hate it when goggles get steamy! but that happens to me if i don't lift it up b/c my eyes area gets all steamy. Maybe swimming too hard lol dunno. Then i take goggles off and rinse in the water (tho its still kinda yuck... oh well)

I get the goggles to press to my face by pushing off the wall at the end of the lanes to get those extra meters, the high pressure makes the goggles stay on my face and push out a bit of extra air. then the negative pressure keeps the goggles on my face.

it gets steamy if i don't lift it up haha. need to rinse out the steam from time to time. lol don't worry if u can't remember, its those little details that get away anyway.

I'm not a pro swimmer or anything, but i used to take a lot of swimming lessons when I was a kid. I recently started swimming a lot again recently b/c my uni tuition includes full membership coverage to the aquatic centre :D

Ewww chlorine! But then its more ewwww peeps sweatyness and dort in the poooool!

In all seriousness I don't get blurry vision simply bexause my vision is blurred due to being short sighted but goggles do help.
It doesnt matter whether u have a nose brdige or whatever along the links the goggles itself has those sucksion (fuck i cant spell) pieces around the eyes to keep the water out as i used to have the problem of water creeping imside me goggles

next them when i go swimming i might actually try and make people go off to the swimming lanes and not take up all the chilled out area keke

sort of related but how do you keep your goggles from fogging up?

there isn't really a way around it. see those olympic swimmers when they do those replay shots? they have the same problem. Only way is to take the goggles off and rinse with the pool water, and put it back on.

when i used to swim a bit, i'd usually take them off dip in the water so that theres a bit of moisture on the inside of the goggles
    it'd last a bit
    =)

oooOOoo so ya do lift them uppp...i thought it was better not to...so the goggles stay in place...
coz i thought of it like...wet face + lifting googles..= room for water to come into the eyes.??..

meh i dunno i dun swim nows anyways....puhehehe...

taking off and on keeps it less foggy
but the more u take off and on, the "looser" it is and so its more likely during certain actions/fast movements that the goggles come off

    its a trade off... =P

that's why you can tighten them!! but goggles nowadays should be allowing the sucksion to work everytime you take it on and off to prevent those water from getting back in

its not really about that tightening on the elastics
the bands are really just to hold it in place, the eye pieces themselves (if u get the decent ones) hold themselves in place with the suction and air pressure. just have to get it right

but for casual swimming, just too much effort
    LOL

people have told me if the elastic band is pulled too tightt...and ya swim for ages...ya eyes can pop out....-shock

thats just being stupid pulling it stupidly tight :p
might as well just wear scuba goggles! =D
then u don't even have to worry about turning ur head to breathe
    ahhahaha

i've never heard of eyes popping out. yea u have to take off the googles to get the steam away. it's kind of annoying at times. i tend to just try to use my finger to get rid of it haha. i think u can get better googles and that can help to reduce the frequency of steam getting on the googles but all googles i have tried still steam up. just a case of how long and when.
