It is shown that people who either are atheist or strict devotees of religion are best off psychologically. However, those who are in between are kind of screwed up.
i think religions has its good side. people can have some place to rely on when they fail. i don't have any religion because i don't want to be bound by anything
i agree best religion is no rleigion!!!!!!!!! im free and not bound by anything, i dont need a nobody to tell me wat i can eat or do or evn say tha things that i want to say
I don't have a religion,, but I believe in God. I believed in destiny 2. I believed things bound to happen and you can only do so much to change little.
I'm not a fan of religion.... If you're a bad person, you will be one no matter the religion, but I hate to see bad actions justified with religion. They all essentially teach the same thing: love your fellow man, honesty, charity, etc.... but they seem to have so many problems inbetween.
I think that it is not those with religion but those who deny religion who think they are superior, for those with religions will always have someone above them, namely God or Gods. It is as you have said. Man is the one who misuse religion for their own purposes, not the other way around. It is man who spread the notion that their religion is superior to others, not religion itself. In fact, most religions teach about values and the perception towards life. It is from religion that people gain such knowledge, and it is through religion that such knowledge is passed down generations. Well.. I will probably be scolded for saying this, but I think those who have no religion are likely to be people who think too highly of themselves and their own opinions. What is conscience instinct? Does that really exist within us? We are but social animals. We are capable of thoughts, but without standing on the shoulders of giants, how far can we reach? Before you deny religion, perhaps give yourself a chance. Pick up any major religious doctrines and read for yourself. I'm quite sure that even if you do not end up believing, you will probably gain some insight from it. No offense though.. just my pt of view. After all, I used to be a free thinker myself.
Hm, those with a religion, even though there is a God(s) above them, they are told that they are superior BECAUSE they have faith in that God(s). Or at least they will end up in heaven, right? At the same time, agonists/athetists do think they are superior because they need no external reassurance of their existence. Yet depending on how you look at it, those with religion (or at least a portion of them) do think they are superior because they have such faith. Without religion, we may not reach very far, but at the same time we have our feet firmly on the ground. If one day it is proven that certain faith is a make-believe (there is always such remote chance it may happen), wouldn't the followers of that faith be lost forever because they are so used to having something "looking after" them? No hope, no disappointment. The insight was gained alright, having read parts of the bible since I was young. Yet at the same time, many such insights, speically the ones regarding morality, is not exclusive to religious texts. Reading a religious text AND learning something may be value added to some, but not to me.
THE NEW AGE THOUGHT!! The media branded as that of the increasingly popular 'philosophy'. Heard of them?
The new age for those who don't know, is really about re-position what you know all along, only been hold back by your everyday life activities. Paying solely your attention to them means not giving yourself a chance to look at life in a different perspective, but instead going in circles and believe life as just what it is you given - edu, work, edu, work. As we work, we have more and more less time for ourselves, families and friends and more time for working. It is strange how life play out itself as just that, like robots. Life were ever meant to be special, life is a gift, and before being poured to us with ridiculous relgions, beliefs, practices, traditions, discouragement, this is right this is wrong, we were all very happy, free, open as a child. This is what new age is about. Religions to me were not meant to be some form of organisations, but a guidiance. Anyone is a laughing stock if they don't think all religions are distorted somewhat. One particular religion even teaches people don't question, just accept the truth or else you have sinned. Hahaha.. if all follow this teachings, we are really limiting our human evolution. We humans have great potentials, even with the religions. You see, there are many things that we don't know, mainly because they were kept as secrets or hidden by people who holds the power. Is no joke that we have the technology for free energies. I read articles about there research shows that even water can take over petrol to run cars... but the article also said they needed funds.. other stuff we should take in as possibilities, are aliens. If aliens are not real then why of all these controversies about them, up and down, there and then, through videos, words, or any form which makes aliens topic continue to this day? Others are people who said they had special abilities, who are pyshic, who had near-death experiences... and came back with great sensitive to spirituality... haha.. These things most people don't buy it... I think we can find real answers from 'ordinary people' than from media... What about crop circles and out of body experiences? Hehe.. this is, ladies and gentlemen, the New Age. You can find many books about them under Mind, Body and Spirit, and it is not under Religion section. But you don't need books to know about them.. is a matter of realising it within yourself.
religion is good if u dont get too stuck in.. ryt? as in "no! its wrong to belive _______ because my religion says so" lol.. sumthin like that ><"
^ True, practically all religion teach ppl to be good, but its only the extremists who go overboard and make their religions look bad.
Good and Bad... it's more like Socially Acceptable and Not Socially Acceptable. Extremist are out there only because we claim them to be. Religions have their purpose. I don't know how one can claim that religion has done more harm than good or vice versa when you have no basis on what a religion-free world is really like. For all we know, it'd be pure anarchy where everyone has to fight for themselves just to stay alive.
this may sound crazy but i think they are real in a sense, people get abducted everyday, thats a fact plus i have seen ufos with my own eyes. not nice when your whole family wont believe you. But me and my bro used to go in our back garden and see a few of them in the sky. i consider them to be empty bodies that are being controlled by evil spirits. almost like zombies maybe. its been documented that the bodies (typical grey aliens) have been artificially created for the purpose of letting something control it. Oh well, i lost interest in that stuff so i guess time will tell. Anybody seen any strange stuff in the sky?, i seen 'so called' stars move about so they obviously cant be stars.
Go to one of those "extremists" and ask "Hey! Are you an extremist?". Do you expect "Yes I am! I'm way out there because I'm just craaaaaazy" as an answer? Or do you think they'll say no and that they're doing what they believe is righteous based on their beliefs?
