i dont believe in any religion.. but i think no religion is better for me .. cos i dnt like rules tie me down to how i live and wat i wanna do.. i like my freedom!
How can you tell the map is the map of your part of the world? Everyone has different life experience, if you are in Canada a map of Europe will help you nil. I believe religion is for people who identify with them (meaning you look for a map of Europe when you are in Europe), for us who doesn't identify with any religion, one can either start a new religion or follow nothing but one's own conscience instinct.
Yes I agree with you religion has done more harm than help us. If only we all could agree that each religion is the same an we all all equal.

The problem has always been self-righteous religious fanatics who believe "my religion/race/belief is better than you (in general), thus you don't deserve living" Even the most outrageous stereotyping was once based on facts. i think religion is very important.having a religion makes you think about this wonderful life.but the most important thing is to respect each other no matter what.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that no religion is the best religion, but my opinion is that religion is one medium to let people think themselves superior. I agree, many politicians use religion and the so-called God to justify their action, starts war and antagonize other faiths. Um, sorry to burst your bubble, but the reason behind the lack of religion in China was solely a mean to maintain the imbalance in power between the state and the people -- the people do not have anything to look up to except for the state (legally anyways). Having religion is not a necessary cause of appreciating life. It's just another feel-good pass-time, IMHO. Consider, nowadays, the most intolerant groups of people are, by one way or another, religious. With their God on their side, they think themselves superior and thus free to oppress others with different faith. You are welcome to if you call that respect to others, but I personally beg to differ.
All we need is a relationship with God, no religion. thats how it was originally before people started implementing there own ideas. but as stated earlier, it seems like there is alot more atheists on these forums than believers which is strange. maybe we should have an atheist forum for athiest to strenthen their disbeliefe of God and we have this forum to help build up each others faith and strength in God. but i guess it good that we all give our opinions, God gave us freewill afterall.

i think the biggest religion is self-worshipism (made up name, but you get the idea), wheather people realise it or not.
