It looks like fans of TVB's "Barrack O'Karma" will have to wait a little longer for the second season to air, as the said drama is nowhere in the list of TVB's upcoming anniversary productions.

As reported on HK01, the broadcaster recently announced this year's year-end dramas to celebrate its upcoming anniversary celebration, but that two of the most anticipated dramas, "Barrack O'Karma 1968" and "Big White Duel II" were revealed to not be a part of it.

Instead, the four series that will be released at the end of 2021 would be Linda Chung and Kevin Cheng's comeback drama, "Kids' Lives Matter", Shaun Tam time-travelling starrer, "Take Two", the remake of 2000's classic, "Return of the Cuckoo" starring Hubert Wu, as well as Wayne Lai and Owen Cheung's Muay Thai series, "The Ringmaster".

"Barrack O'Karma" was a sleeper hit when it was aired back in 2019, with Joel Chan making his comeback as a lead alongside Selena Lee, who had since departed from TVB. In the original, Joel played the role of a security guard at an old building with its own supernatural powers.

It was nominated for six awards at the 2019 TVB Anniversary Awards and won three, including Best Supporting Actress for Candice Chiu, and Most Popular Onscreen Partnership for Joel Chan and Selena Lee.

With it not being part of the anniversary line-up, it looks like the said series may be aired in 2022 instead.
