I was a former environmental studies major and switched out because I don't think anything would make a difference at this point. I bout a fuel efficient car (as stated in the other thread) to save gas and to hop on the carpool lane so i won't have to be stuck in traffic. And honestly its not that i don't care its more that i don't want to care anymore because its a hopeless cause. I guess you're right it is just part of the evolution process. We'll be replace by stronger less polluting species.

Definitely agree, even if we stop now the changes in ocean temperature and the atmospheric damages have already started years ago and it's not like we could put a brake on the whole situation although I doubt many would even bother unless sh!t hits the fan and comes back slapping them in the face. First even if the global warming effect our generation, humans survival will adapt; we did survive the ice age... then don't blame anyone about the so called global warming, it's just a geological cycle of the earth, human can accelerate the cycle but cannot in anyway prevent it. Mother nature is very powerful, if there is too much humans on earth, then something will happen to get the population down either a war or a disease; just look at your history book. For the one who study environment, we humans is destroying our ecological system; but a new one will born; pretty sure about it; just don't have a clue how it will looks like; will we starve i dunno but it's pretty obvious we have to change our diet hehe. soo don't get nightmare; live happily and in peace en respect, with each other. Remember, we are born to die one day; it's part of the darwin theory. now about the solar panel, if we don't have alot of light; what is the point of having it. i didn't look the youtube vid yet, but the other option and pretty clean one is the fuel cell (if i remember well it work with water!)
No, I think ahhamah is thinking in the right direction in terms of energy. Solar panels are very efficient and if you watched the YouTube video you'd understand why and since the lady was able to harness more than enough energy, so much she even fed energy back into the cities energy supply, I think it's a very good idea. Just think of how much energy would be fed back into the grid if a whole city with all of it's roofs and usable sufaces were covered in solar panels and everyone was almost only sending energy back instead of using. And why would we bother using fuel cells when we could use solar power and electricity to fuel our needs? Trust when I say that if we transition into solar and electric powered vehicals eventually we'd come up with even more efficient storage units.

Sigh, Global warming is somewhat of an issue, but it is not THE ONLY issue. The fact that we produce less CFC (than decades before) and surface temperature being fluctuative is the few things I learn from Environmental Biology. Global Warming is a fact, but it is an overblown issue nowadays.
Yes wish people owe up to fact that we are causing global warming and start taking measures to stop it in order to save the earth.
