yea washing your skin strips natural oils away from your skin causing it to get dryer
so unless your getting tons of zits, wash your face less

also dont use scrubs, although they may get rid of dead skin cells, the roughness will also cause more dead skin cells to apear sooner

lmao im a guy whos only used at most facewash, moisturizer, and oxypads so the hydrating mask, steaming face is a little extreme for me
but i guess ill give em a try if nothing works

im stopped using any skin products for a few days now and it certainly hasnt gotten better. but ive made an appointment with the doc already. gonna go tomorrow straight after school, so well see whats up/

ok just came back from the docs anddd
he prescribed me some "new drug" whose "longterm side effects are unknown and are now being tested" lol so it feels kind of weird
but anyway, he gave me some elidel (cream for eczema)

thanks again to everybody =) you should all become dermatologists lmao

  4. ^ STAY AWAY from creams that have steroids in them, if u use them it will lead to the thinning of your skin and youll be in big big trouble. check the ingredients. if u do use it then only use it for short periods, usually it will sort out the problem but when u stop using the product the symptoms come back, so u just need to find a normal cream/product that works for you.

My reccomendation is Eucerin cream, check it out with your doctor to be safe.

  5. hahaha... hey i'm no dermatologist!! i'm a beauty therapist :p

    =)
the new drug that i was prescribed is steroid-free lol... which was why the doc gave me it, but it does have side effects
temporary rash, burning, risk of lymphode cancer, skin cancer LOL
everything causes cancer these days =(

  7. yeah... try to stay out of the sun for a while i suppose

i think i might have the same thing as you, although its above my eyebrows and around my nose. i've been using fluticasone propionate, which is for eczema. although the whole steroid thing thinning your skin is kind of worrying me now.

yes, mine is also above my eyebrows and around my nose... or WAS
ask your doctor or pharmacist about Elidel
its a pimecrolimus cream, umm like i said before, theyre testing the longterm effects, and they list some rare side effects as skin cancer and lymph node cancer. BUT
hm lets see.. i got the cream on friday.. and today is sunday.. well technically its monday now 12am, but my skin is COMPLETELY healed.
used a VERY thin layer of this cream after i wash my face with water in the morning, and then used it again after i showered at night = twice per day. and in two-three days its all gone. its really miraculous haha.

the only reason why my doctor didnt prescribe me what you have is because of the steroids. but really though, check out elidel. its 80 dollars cnd for a tube of 30 gram lmao but if you have insurance, its 2 bucks haha. you only need about 5 gram anyway, and itll go away.

i heard that if i stop using the cream (which i am supposed to do once it goes away) theres a chance that it will come back. so well see.
