That's because MAMA is mostly a Korean awards show. They've only just recently started adding more non Korean categories. Likely just to draw in more fans/viewers etc.
I liked B2st performance the best the little sneak peak for troublemaker. Some mics are just bad in the performances like Sunnys
Hyuna was sexy on the red carpet and that kiss with hyunseung... I like Miss A's performances overall, B2st was ok, there were a few issues with the mics... SNSD's performance wasn't that good. Dr.Dre and my man Snoop was killing it... Overall, good performances... It's expected, this was mainly Korean awards, but throw in a few other Asian artists to make this show bigger and more international.
i love hyuna.....but shit, i think JAng woo hyuk should've won that award...his dance is the most sickest dance to date.....his dance best all groups/solo IMo.
I kinda liked it though. The remix isn't that good, but i like how they're presenting the song in a different way.. and also the English version too! But.. I think they should include more China/Hk/Japanese singers for it to be an "Asian" award -whistle.
I streamed this live as well. My reactions to the awards: Album of the Year: Super Junior The hell?!?!!?! Are you serious? Every single song on 2NE1's album dominated the music charts. -_- Artist of the Year: SNSD WHAT? I would have been fine with any of the other nominees winning BUT SNSD. They only promoted ONE song (and a crappy song at that) for like a month. How the hell are they artist of the year? Best Male & Female Group: Super Junior and SNSD Suju I understand, any of the groups nominated were pretty damn popular.. but SNSD? WTF AGAIN!!! Best Dance Performance Solo: Hyuna- Bubble Pop WTF? ARE YOU SERIOUS? That shouldn't even be considered dancing! All she does is jump around. Again, any of the other nominees deserved it more than her. Jay's Abandoned dance was soooooo good. I didn't really follow the rest so I can't say but I know it was better than Hyuna's This year's MAMA is obviously SM biased. The previous year was YG biased but at least it made sense. For SNSD to win all that is RIDICULOUS. They didn't rock the year nearly half as hard as the others. GTFO and I am not a SNSD hater, this is just what I think!

I loved SNSD and Hyuna on the red carpet..<3 We all know that most of these award shows don't mean much, so much stuff going under the tables... Overall, bigger fan base and connections will have better chances.
I didn't find any of the performances to be overly amazing. I know they don't have that much time to practice, so many times they look out of sync. Some were just boring, like SNSD. Too long. Why wasn't Wonder Girls there?
