Don't think it is in HD. I mean not like it makes a big difference lols. The thing I don't understand is I download american shows and they are roughly 300mb for a 45 minute show and their quality is way way way superior to any HK drama. True HD at 720p i think when I dl a 45 minute american show is like 700mb...whereas 1080p HD can be like 1 gb or more lols

tbh, i dont really care if its hd. in fact i think the quality of previous ones are good enough, and plus file size isnt too big

to be exact, DLs are only in 8.5GB in size well is is a waste cuz it can fit more, but when you think about it 1 CD is priced roughly about the same as 1 DVD, so when a person can fit 3 episodes or more is still "consider" unwasted...some DVDs here are priced lower than 1 single CD...so is not really a wasted or not =.= supposingly yes, however after watching the 數碼電視新紀元, the HD Channels are delivered FREE of charge to households in Hong Kong but you will need a HDTV as well as other equipment to receive the service...the standard definition (SD) box will cost about $1k and the HD digital box will cost as much as $2k and it is only in the 1:1 ration (as in 1 box to 1 tv) it is possible that is either (1) too expensive to change all equipment at the same time (HD digital box, HDTV and even HDTV support TV Tuner) plus the time to try on recording and experiencing the time for compression and all OR (2) HD digital box become out of stock due to high demands and they weren't able to get it up and ready for recording until they have the equipment... and the episodes are being aired on three channels right now, (1) Channel 1 - Regular Jade (reg. TV), (2) Channel 81 - Regular Jade (digital signal) and (3) Channel 85 - HD Jade (digital signal) and from the look of it, it might be from the "Regular Jade" oh, it does make a huge difference, did you watch the 翡翠高清首映禮, it was hella big difference compared to regular TV, is brighter & clearer, human skin looks really smooth...if you can't feel the difference (try watching a movie from a regular DVD and either an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, and if u still can't feel the difference, you probably need new eyes you cannot judge the quality like that because depending on what equipment is used, the amount of compression is used...even thou 45 min shows ending up in 1GB in size, if ur source is a really in high quality and compressing it to around 300mb, much quality is lost, however the higher quality of the source, no matter how much you compress it, it will still have better quality and recording it (source) with min. settings (aka VCD quality recordings)...RMVB should have the lowest file size after compression (i think) and if you have the file in mpeg format, of course it can reach 1GB in size confirmed again that THIS IS NOT TRUE DVD-RMVB (DVD-Rips) as the TVB logo once again shows on the top right corner and the quality is somewhat fuzzy, anyone see that?

LOLs to noasian. I never thought HD makes a difference in watching TV shows and I've watched shows in true HD on a 50" HDTV and to me, dramas don't matter THAT much. HD is only good for sports. If you ever watch football or basketball...get HD lols. If not, don't matter.
if you did watch TVB's 數碼電視新紀元, you would know the difference...i felt a difference...i know about HD, i have HD at home too! so ur saying as well that recordings from a regular camcorder is no different than using an HD Cam? i don't think so...
i've seen regular dvd being played on a blu ray player and the quality is better. I am waiting for deals and waiting to receive my blu ray bonus disc in the mail.
yeah i think the quality of the picture is slightly better in WOILII, but it is not an OBVIOUS quality increase. However, the audio quality is definitely noticeable with the surround sound effects of the theme song

i am not sure if EP1 is HD or not since it wasn't in the 16:9 format rather the standard 4:3 format and the HD logo was shown at the beginning of the show but the quality wasn't that great here...
Not saying there isn't a difference. There is a big difference. But I mean does it REALLY matter if you can see that one pore on that one actresses face in that one drama? Not really. But does it matter where the football landed to see if your favorite team got the 1st down? Yeah I think so lols. Cause when you watch drama its the storyline and acting that matters, not the chipped nail on her finger or the pimple on her nose that matters, unless it is part of the story lols.
