Tony Hung (洪永城), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), and the cast of the new TVB period comedy drama Recipes to Live By <味上天開> made an appearance together earlier this week to promote their show, which is currently airing on TVB Jade. The drama centers on a man with a golden tongue who discovers that his past is more than meets the eye.

Recipes to Live By, which premiered on January 2, reached an average rating of 22 points during its first week of broadcast. Tony said, “The ratings could do better. If the drama reaches 30 points, I’m going walk around the streets with Maria Cordero (肥媽) on my back.”

Asking why his girlfriend, Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), wasn’t around to help him promote the show, Tony said, “She’s busy promoting her new film [Lucky Fat Man] now.” (She’s playing a dance hostess in her new film.) “This is a very tasteful professor. Herself as well. I will definitely support [the movie], and I will call up all my friends to go watch it. I’ll consider booking the entire theater. If you want to get lucky, go watch it!” (How many times will you watch it?) “I’ll watch it whenever I have time!”

In regards to the news that Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) was briefly detained by police in Macau due to his new movie, Tony said, “Is it because they didn’t apply for a [filming license]? I’m pretty sure they are okay. Actors have no say in this. Besides, this isn’t a criminal offense.”

Tony then revealed that he too had a brief scuffle with police while shooting a travel show overseas. “They didn’t arrest me because we gave them money,” said Tony. “About a few hundred US dollars.” The actor declined to elaborate why, but he did mention that the police would have beat them if they did not give money.
