Somehow, Stephy and Bosco just didn't have the right sort of chemistry for me. Spoiler: I seriously thought ...that Bosco would end up with the girl downstairs. Also, the back stabbing buddy? He should have walked in on Miss Ugly and another man; that would have been his just desserts. But that ending? Right out of left field. They didn't need to do that at all, except just be annoying, so that the viewer knows they didn't end up happy. IMHO, that was just a huge scriptwriter's "Fuck You" to the audience. Somebody should be shot for the ending. As always, a big thanks to all posters for their generosity
