    Yumiko is buying a property for her mother as Mother’s Day present

    TVB is producing a special program “TVB 512 show concerns again” to commemorate the first anniversary of the earthquake in Sichuen Province. The show will be broadcasting live tomorrow. TVB held a press conference in The Olympian City yesterday in which Yumiko Cheng, EO2 and the three Miss Hong Kong Skye Chan, Sire Ma and Samantha Ko attended. They wrote down their wishes in the wishing tree.
    Eric Tsang and Astrid Chan will be hosting the show and eleven charity organizations are supporting this event with over 70 artists performing in the show including Alan Tam, Hacken Lee, Miriam yeung, Eason Chan, Shirley Kwan, Annie Yi, Leo Ku and Joyce Cheng etc.
    It was Mother’s Day yesterday. Yumiko told the reporter that because she has been busy working, she has to wait till next week to visit her mother in Shanghai. “I am going to Shanghai with Ah Gill (Gillian Chung) to attend a commercial activity next week. I will be there two days early so that I can spend sometime with my mom.” She went on to say if time permits, she will treat Ah Gill with some local cuisine.

    Yumiko said that she has always wanted to buy a property in Shanghai as it is cheaper than Hong Kong. She may buy one flat there for her mother to rent it out as an investment. This would be her Mother’s Day present for her mom. Reporter asked if her mother will be the property owner, Yumiko replied “Sure, she will be looking after the flat and I trust her ”
    Yumiko revealed that Nick Cheng invited her and a group of friends for a meal two nights ago to celebrate him winning the Best Actor Award. Yumiko stressed that Nick has been in the entertainment industry for so many years that at last he has made it and is very happy for him. Yumiko went to to say that she would like to act in a few movies, and in future she may only produce one record a year. She will spend her spare time learning acting and to expand her repertoire.
