Not sure where I could post this, so I chose the lounge, talk aout anythin right? =) Hi all, one of my friends is exploring the idea of trying to be a pop star in HK (or Taiwan?), but she wants to know if she's good enough, so I figure I would post some of her stuff here. I hope I am not breaking the rules by posting her website and myspace (if it is, I apologize and please just delete it). I'm not doing it to spam, only to try and get honest opinions on whether people think she can make it or not. It's a very big decision because she would have to drop her banking career. Ya... she looks kinda old. If she wants to be star in HK or Taiwan, she needs to update her style and look. I'm not saying she's a bad singer, but LOOKS is very important in HK, and so she needs to change it in order to compete with all the other girls there.
her canto singing is average but her madarin is good, the song wishing on a star sounds very nice, take out the filler music and lotsa exposure im sure cds would be selling =) i'd buy her cd if she has more songs like wishing on a star =x truthfully she reminds me of just another star in the chinese market, she'll have to pump alot of hits to make it her looks dont kill (not to say shes ugly shes pretty but not the outstanding) maybe a makeover this is my honest critique, i dont want to give a false opinion, just tryin to help.
Agree with "ang". I prefer her Mandarin songs over her Cantonese ones. She has a nice voice, and the songs are not bad. I like "Wishing on A Star" and "Puzzle". Her English is average. Looks, could use a bit of work. Not really digging the hair and make-up. But overall, not bad!
I agree..her voice seems more comfortable with mandarin instead of cantonese. I prefer the canto ballad when Soler sings it.

ok all jokes aside... she's a pretty good singer.. and banking career... she should def. give that up if musics her passion... buh I mean why settle for jus China?? this girl knows English aswell... She should def. try to make it here... and then become even bigger in China... and then... world domination... -shock
she has i think... took a quick glance at the myspace... but seriously if she sings in US n China... she'll be huge!
like American Idol... -huh btw, her voice is really good tho.. her makeup looks are okay, but she needs to change her hair abit, it would look better. n dress in some nice kind of clothing. i like her eyes tho. -clapclap
