Well...i have two frds ..lets call them frd A and frd B.... frd A is pretty and tall...and most guys will look at her more compared to the other frd B....she is a bit chubby... and she doesn't wear make up like frd A does...so it looks like shes not AS pretty as frd A... one day they go together to apply for part time jobs... they went to a whole bunch of them...mainly hiring as a sales...when both of them went to "ARITZIA" they looked for the manager...and gave her their Resumes... the manager looked at frd A then frd B.....then she said ill let u know if u are hired... a few days later...only frd A got hired and not frd B...their resumes are different too...frd B has already done a few jobs b4.... and to the result...that store only hires pretty girls... -.- y does this society only excepts prettier people? URGHHHHHH I was also gonna go find a job...but now...im not sure...maybe i can go do washing dishes or something... Comments on these F***en *Only pretty people can work here* stores?
duhhhhhhhhh thats how u attract customers...u need pretty girls to look pretty in those pretty clothes hahahahaha...its like that for a lota places...like GUESS.. A&Ｆ....HOLLISTER...theres moreeeee....being pretty is a required asset =p
The concept of physical beauty is one of the most important marketing strategies. They associate beauty = attracting customers hence if given the choice, the employers would eventually hire one that is prettiest. Its hard reality but thats how the world rolls.
dont be mad and frustrated... the retail environment is like that especially at stores like aritzia or any clothing store. it is hard to find a retail job that doesnt look at your appearance. but then again, i have seen girls working at aritzia that are a healthy size meaning not a size 0! but they do put on a bit of makeup. frd b should also realize though that in today's society you do need a bit of a touch up in terms of makeup even just eyeliner and a bit of powder does the job. that's all i usually wear. it's how you package yourself. if you cant sell yourself you cant sell the product. i use to do hiring and i didnt always hire beautiful people but i did look at how the person took care of their appearance.
well life's never been fair... thats the way it is its all abt "image" thats general what sales/consultants do (generalising here...) its all about looks and how u can sell it... and sex does sell as we all know
Sales is all about image and selling, so im not suprised but you never know the real reason why they chose A over B, so....
well i see it no biggie la....end of the day its retail and you're gonna be on ya feet all day long i guess mebe im more like friend b and find reasons to say why i dun go into retail work haha... but yeh depends on the shop...like people in most high class shops..like selfridges most people working there are really really pretty....and then regular shops you get more down to earth gurlies.... i have a chubby-ish friend who works in retail the normal shop...so it just depends on the shop i guess
I dont find this very strange, since most of the high class stores has pretty people working there. -what? If you are hiring someone to do some work, you always watch for the appearance, although you might not always realise this. If the person doesn't fit in the image of the store, you wont hire him/her. pretty + work experience = better
^probably they just choose the prettier girls since in china the chest aren't that big and they don't want surgery to change the size
