Unrelated Picture to the News.... After reaching the heady heights of 6500m above sea level on Mount Everest in 2006 whilst filming a TVB travelogue programme, Wong He (王喜) will once again be heading for the world's tallest mountain next week on behalf of TVB. The adventurous star will be representing TVB's sports coverage by joining other reporters at the 5200m base camp on the mountain, where he will be reporting on the arrival of the Olympic flame. He officially received the instruction for the challenge today in a special ceremony, where the Non-Drama Production Director Ho Lai Chuen (何麗全) presented him with the TVB Olympic flag. Despite being confident that he will not suffer from altitude problems, Ah He revealed that he was still a little worried about the electricity, water and food being in short supply. However, he explained that they will be taking some solar powered devices with them as backup. Ah He revealed that he has set himself another challenge in September, when he will be climbing another peak that stands at 7087m above sea level. The sporting hosts at the event also paid tribute to the long-serving TVB host and commentator Ng Fong Wing (伍晃榮), who passed away yesterday. Han Lee (李漢), who started his career with Ng in 1982 expressed disbelief that his former colleague had died so suddenly and spoke of how he would have loved to have hosted the Olympics coverage. Sports show anchorwoman Wendy Hon (韓毓霞) said that Ng was a man who was a true talent, with quick wit, years of experience and a lot of knowledge, like a human encyclopaedia. Credits: batgwa
