    These are legit and you can get your Windows 7 Pro Upgrade via this site for $40 CAD (that has now expired as of Jan 5)! The new deal is $95 (still cheaper than buying OEM for $180 after taxes). This offer is valid to anyone who is currently in school with a valid school email address.

    The "Upgrade" version can be used to clean install if you follow the steps in this site =0

    Your upgrade path is as follow:

    Vista 32-bit --> Windows 7 32-bit*
    Vista 64-bit --> Windows 7 64-bit*

    * You can't upgrade from Vista Home Basic/Premium --> Vista Business --> Windows 7 PRO

    what do you mean there are two versions, from what i know there is only the "upgrade" for $40 USD for Canadian institutes and $30 for USA insititues; people have to understand that the FULL version will allow the user to do a "clean" or "upgrade" install whereas the UPGRADE is only for "upgrade" if you are eligible... if you are on XP, then you are out of luck because there is NO upgrade path from XP to Windows 7

    Well there's no free lunch in the world, but if you paid for it...why not use it right? I must say , windows 7 is a worthy download and upgrade for anyone who 's using XP or vista

    are these ISO's the same as the discs that will be delivered?
    i just bought the 64bit pro and dont want to wait for the disc ... these should still accept my product key?

    no the links i posted for the ISO downloads are the FULL/RETAIL image of the W7 discs and the ones you ordered and get delivered is only the UPGRADE discs. However the key you just bought will get accepted; the trick is to install via the FULL/RETAIL image (DO NOT ENTER THE KEY DURING THE INSTALLATION), instead skip it and after Windows is done installing, go activate your Windows and enter a new key (that you purchased)

    so if i have this correct.
    download ur full retail image.
    burn the image onto a dvd.
    install it but dont enter a key. so when its completed its says its a 30 day trial.
    then put in the key and activate?

    and is this just the same way to do it if u have just the upgrade cd? install without key then activate.

    thanks this is a lot of help =)
