i can never go to sleep i lay in my bed for hrs just trying to go to sleep so i end up really tired the next day and oversleeping i've tried music, reading, even drinking milk nothing works and sleeping pills are not an option
I find waking up really early makes me tired enough to go to sleep in the night. Oversleeping is what messes up your body clock.
Ha i asumme you ppl think golf is boring. I dunno what makes me sleep but i just sleep lol. You can do some exercise and get tired that will probably make you sleep.
i have a personal method for putting me to sleep. everytime i will close my eyes and imagine myself a super rich guy buying everything i want. then i just fall asleep. i know i am weird.
I have the same problem too!!! the more i toss in bed, the harder to fall asleep! so i just get up and do something till i am tired. i get up when i know for sure i cant fall asleep at all....no point wasting my time in bed. another method works for me sometimes..... i will make myself think "I should get out of the bed and do something...hmm, what should i do......." then IMAGINE doing that thing(anything physical)(dont think of a problem, just think of doing some activity)(thinking of a problem will make your mind very active).....as i IMAGINE while still lying on the bed, i start to feel reluctant to get up as doing the activity seems too troublesome and tiring.....then the more i think of that activity, the more tired i became....and then, my eyes start to feel heavy....and slowly my mind start to empty itself....and then suddenly, i fell asleep! one very bad method that i have tried and use very often....... ...hehe......i eat! when i am full, i will feel very satisfied and my eyes will become heavy when my stomach starts to work.....then i go to sleep.....works most of the time! if you are afraid of getting fat....you can try drinking hot drinks.....not necessarily hot milk..... i drink something milky and filling....it makes me feel full temporarily.....if i go right to sleep after drinking, it gives the same effect as eating a full meal but with much lesser calories.. another method which i have tried..... do some LIMB exercises.... you can just swing your arms until you feel tired....then go to bed....and stop thinking whether it works......just FEEL the tiredness and say...."oh, i am so tired.....oh, this bed is so soft and comfy...hmmmmm"......while half closing your eyes......this will fool your brains...and it will help you shut off. good luck!
Basically do you have irregular sleeping paterns? Lets say one night you go to sleep 12am, then you try to go sleep 9pm next night, your body is use to going to sleep late and so you will just lie in bed trying to sleep but you wont for ages. Regular sleeping paterns should help you get to sleep and wake up without being tired

i pray when i can't fall asleep... just tell God abt everything n then i just drift off to sleep with a soothing feeling
Never skip out on sleep to sleep better!! that's horrible! hm...lets see...if you are having trouble sleeping at night...try getting away from your bed...can be (conditioned insomnia) where everything around your sleeping area makes you not able to sleep. Try go out for a snack. go to the bath room...just do something for 5 or 10 minutes and then try going back to sleep. I also find that that you should end your night with something relaxing. don't try to sleep after studying or reading ...then your brain would be to stimulated and awake to rest... do something relaxing like listening to music...or have a nice bath...try that and see..
