I know many people who wanted to have a certain job when they were little, but totally changed their minds when they grew older. So when you were a kid, what did you want to grow up to be, and now that you're older, are you still going after that profession? When I was little, I always wanted to be an astronaut. lol...now I just want to be a vet!
i've always wanted to be an orthopaedic surgeon even though i didn't know what it was. in college i pursued it but never finished it but instead got an engineering degree instead. could go back though.
This may sound silly. But when I was little, I wanted to do what Leehom did as of this moment. A musician -- introducing/bringing chinese music to the West. I always wanted to become a singer. My plan was to start in Hong Kong though! This was my what I wanted when I was like 5 or 6. But now.. umm.. I just finished first year university of psychology. I want to become a child psychologist.
When I was 10, I had to write an 'essay' about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote that I wanted to be a pharmacist... & right now I am currently en route to becoming one.

Wanted to be a firefighter, then manage a music business, then social work. didn't work that way except for the social work. being a teacher now is the greatest thing.

when i was little i hated that question, i thought it was stupid to think about it. If at all possible i would like to do as little as possible, and live a very quiet life. Now that im older nothing has changed except now i know theres nothing as a nice quiet life :(
