Monday April 24, 2006 Hong Kong Twins, Yumiko Cheng, and Kenny Kwan appeared at the press conference for Online MOOV.now.com.hk. Twins will be releasing a mandarin album during May, so they will be heading over to Taiwan for one month for the promotion and advertisements of the album. As for their upcoming cantonese album, it will approximately release during the summer. But this time, not only will Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung write lyrics and compose melodies, but also they will each be the producer of one song. They're eager to change their image, hoping to give a refreshing feeling to their fans; they hope to give the message that besides having a pretty face and nice voice, they also have talents for music. Charlene expressed that they're not going to be the producers for all the songs in the upcoming album; it's just that she personally hopes to produce a fast song while Gillian will be producing a slow song. Twins have never had any self-written lyrics or self-composed tunes included in their albums before, so they hope to test the waters out in this new album. Gillian expressed that she has composed a few songs before and sent them over to composer, Ronald Ng Lok Shing, but she hasn't heard from him yet. Gillian said, "It may be because he's too busy. I know that he has looked over them and made the necessary corrections, but we haven't found suitable times to use them yet; therefore, I want to start all over with my composing and come up with some new songs." As to where they get their thoughts from, Charlene expressed that she usually carries around a recorder so she can tape it down when she gets any ideas. I feel like they shouldn't write their own stuff if it's going to bad--it's almost like artists these days are attempting to write their own stuff because that's the trend, but to be a good singer-songwriter is a talent that not everyone has...well, I guess I can't complain that much without hearing their stuff. We'll have to wait and see on this one.
hey i used to love twins sooo mcuh but after a while i got kinda annoyeed to themmm... they are like so repetitive with the themes of their songs... they are almost always the weak female in the relationship and even though the songs are sung nicely they almost never relate it to male feelings during or after a relationship.... well tell me what u think
hmm I wonder how well their composed songs would do. My opinion is that their songs are only good because their label helps them buy really good songs for them ..otherwise I don't think they sing that good..no offense to their fans =)
man.... I thought they are going to break up..... what's with all the rumors eh..... Anyways..... it's a good thing that they will try to write their own songs..... writing ur own songs is the perfect way to prove urself...... Gillian all the way.....
