In episode 10, Sheren is walking out from the supermarket and the year should be about 1996 (just before HK reunites with China as mentioned by Raymond in a previous episode) but in the picture you clearly see a Lexus SUV. According to Wikipedia, here. Lexus did not have any SUV until late 90s.
well.. you see... not everything can b exact cuz they were probli filming b4 the place was opened (i live in vancouver and go to richmond often) so its not surprising when they already hav cars parked there and ready to go to work or something rite? i mean not all things can b exactly correct
yah i think ur just too picky. u can also pick of the actors hairstyles.. back in the 90s, every guy had the "aaron kwok" hair with 2 spirals on the crown.. that would be totally unnecessary.
i agree ...this isn't something that is very obvious...cut TVB some slack...or maybe it's the china production at fault here too?
haha, I know what everyone is saying. A lot of this is out of their control, it's just that I'm a little keen on noticing cars -lol
well... close to the end of ep 11... she was in the resturant tropica or w/e the malaisn resturant... that mall wasnt even like that during 1997... lol it was still known as "hong kong chai" (in chinese) with the clock that was made from a lil fountine thing that changers times (digital clock) so yea... where she was in that resturant was like new and crap recnetly build in like 2004/05 ish can realli remember but not too long ago.. LOL so yea... they cant help it... and earlier... i dont think silvercity (the bowling place) also with theater and stuff was even build in 1996 LOL and micheal mui wanted to go "bowling" lol things are never to the exact point of time... i mean they had to use old footage of the whole "hongkong back to china ruling thing" lol
even though lexus says on the wikipedia that the Rx300 was out in 1998 we don't know if that is the american release date or the japanese release date. Japan always tends to get the cards sooner than america and if the date is for america then the rx suv could have been out in japan prior to that... i mean even big budget movies have bloopers that we can catch...and we are only human so everything is going to be 100% perfect...don't be so nitpicky about it...just sit back and enjoy the show
You can't expect them to perfect everything. If you wanted to be specific, every computer in the drama was running Windows XP. I don't know whether anyone noticed that =P
If that is true, then you really have a great eye. In episode 14, they even made a fake BSOD that have the number 98 so people might think that they are running Windows 98....
If your really being picky then the taxi's in HK happen to be the Toyota Crown LPG cars, I'm fairly sure they weren't that back in the mid 90s . That is the problem when ur film something about 10 or 15 years ago in teh storyline, it is modern timing still but styles and cars have movved on a lot.
I don't think that these blunders have nothing to do with being "Picky". It is just fun to find them out.
^exactly! and this isn't me exactly being picky but wardrobe should be something they can control right? did you notice the white jacket that Raymond wore when he was still a rich boy in that scene when it was just him and Charmaine on the mountain top or wherever that was. and then after he goes to china his cousin starts wearing that white jacket. strange huh? heh.
