It's Flu season again, as the season changes from cold..ish, to warmer. So for those of you with the flu, and begin vomiting, here are some suggestions to vomiting...

if it's intense vomiting, please consult your doctor.

But to recover from vomiting, it's important to replenish your system with electrolytes...

so like Gatorade or Powerade will help. If you're not into that, then flat sprite (ie. no fizz).

^ In general, just have to ensure the patient is well hydrated if symptom is vomiting or diarrhea (not for flu, but other illnesses too)

I personally would do a very disgusting mix of salt + sugar + water for it, since I hate flavoured drinks.

^ Flu shot is only effective to specific strains of the flu virus (the strain of flu is decided by "experts in the fields", a chance choice not unlike voodoo guessing)

And flu shot is NOT prescribed towards prevention for seasonal flu, only epidemic flu.

Hiake is back???? welcome back, either that or I havent been paying attention...I was gonna do a " search and rescue" for Haike...

Flu shots can help some ppl and should be taken right. One year I took a flu shot and I got reallllly sickkkk. Like I lost my voice and everything...I would drink lots of water and stay home for a few days to rest...

    There's nothing to rescue... =_=b

I figured that flu shots are kind of like counting the bottom line, JUST IN CASE a real pandemic flu DOES hit (which doesn't happen all that often, to be honest). I take my flu shot year after year just because (hey, I paid my tax), and so far I never had any adverse effect so I'll keep on getting the annoying intramuscular shots (painful and ALWAYS swollen in my case) despite my utter disdain of needles.

    Agreed

though if you're not as lucky as some of us here and gets the flu all the time.... plenty of rest, drink plenty of water.. and ignore other peoples comments about anti-biotics will help coz they don't if it IS just the flu

for me i drink indian tonic water with a bit of salt in it just when u begin to feel something is not right e.g light sore troat, feel light. 4 small bottles will do or the three leg cooling water usually found in msia, singapore and some import asian shop. http://www.wenken.com/info/Products-CW.htm
