A SUPERMODEL who did work for Topshop has been found hanged in an "apparent suicide" at her luxury Paris apartment. The body of South Korean beauty Daul Kim — who wrote on her blog that she was "mad, depressed and overworked" — was discovered by French cops today. Ms Kim, 20, had appeared at top fashion shows around the world — modelling for designers such as Chanel and Alexander McQueen. She also recently starred in an advert for designer Christopher Kane's Topshop clothing line. In an entry on her blog last month she had written: "The more i gain the more lonely it is... I know I'm like a ghost." Mourned In another she said she was "mad, depressed and overworked".And in a final comment on November 18, she posted an entry entitled "Say hi to forever" accompanied by a video of the song I Go Deep by British singer Jim Rivers. Her agents at Next Models in New York said today: "She was a top model and a great friend to all of us at Next. "Please respect her family's privacy at this time of sadness. We will all miss her very much." French cops said her family were on their way to Paris from their home in the South Korean capital Seoul. Ms Kim grew up in Seoul and Singapore, and began modelling in Asia before making her fashion week debut in Paris in 2007. Over the past two years she appeared regularly on catwalks in London, New York, Milan and Paris. She was also a respected painter and video filmmaker who had a solo show of her artwork in Seoul.
Models are under too much stress especially iwth how they look and their weight! If the modelling world stops the ideology of models have to be stick thin to represent beauty and the society, I don't think anybody else will either go into depression with their looks or even going through the whole eatting disorder business
wtf 20??... :( designers are kinda killing the models, esp the courtures, they gotta stay skinny and boney to carry'em on their bodies. the more i learn about fashion, the more i hate it lol
^fashion is not necessary expensive: cost of apparel differentiate by different price zones: designer sig, bridge...moderate, then budget. mainly depend on quality of materials, workmanship, amount of labor required, and showroom rents. High fashion, new styles created by fashion leaders, try to innovate fashion, cost the most, w/o fashion innovators, mass fashion (us) wont follow and have new styles and trends every season....damn

it is expensive if you are those who follows the trends especially from the catwalk when it first come out on the designers... mass producaiton of fashion is usually out not as quick as the designers thats why those are the "high stree" versions and therefore a lot cheaper than designers
u are aware that models don't get paid that much, only the top supermodels get paid loads, normal models just get paid an average amount but they have to ensure that they fit the looks that fashion designers are looking for and are under great stress. it's not worth it if u ask me.
i think being an over-sized model is the way forward i dont remember what her name was but she was one of those size 0s then decided to turn size 16 and still successful with the oversized catacogues
