He passed away in February 2010, and later that year he was presented a posthumous Special Contribution Award at the Golden Melody Awards. His repertoire of Taiwanese songs has proved a major inspiration for several generations of Taiwan musicians, hence his son Eric Hung, a famous arranger and producer in his own right, has come up with the idea of a commemorative album featuring today's elite singers. The 13-track collection is made up of new songs sampling Ang's classic numbers and modernized cover versions, many of which are exclusive tracks, including Eric Hung's titular single "Love Flower", his elder brother Chris Hung's duets "Father" (with Jay Chou) and "Taiwan Mambo" (with Mayday's Ashin). Other top Mando-pop stars present include S.H.E, JJ Lin, Crowd Lu, Kan Kan, and Harlem Yu. An especially significant inclusion is the last song written by Ang named "Love Always Delightful", which is re-arranged here by Eric Hung and co-sung by Jody Chiang, Leehom Wang, Emil Chau, Sky Wu, and the Hung brothers.
