How do people here feel about the ongoing argument? http://www.cnn.com/2005/EDUCATION/11/08/evolution.debate.ap/index.html http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/11/10/religion.robertson.reut/index.html http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/10/28/evolution.debate.ap/index.html
Our church beileves that God makes everything seem what it is scientifically so that we can learn, and share with the world. Besides I think its funny on how teachers can get fired for breaking the code. Like a teacher i know did, he tired to sue the district for not letting him teach creationism in class, even though everyone knows thats almost the #1 thing teachers are not allowed to talk about.
evolution is present in our everday lives...i mean....animals evolve right...i'm believe in god....but i don't believe that we evolved from apes..but i do believe there are other forms of evolution...in the animal kingdom for example...
u belive things were created and that doesnt mean they cant evolve Oo... change and get better at surviving...
yes....its an interesting belief...i mean.....things do evolve right...but i don't think its extreme as fuckin coming from apes...
-evolve=To undergo gradual change; develop -if we came from apes, how come theh still exist...wont all apes be humans by now...however..to each his own...
not all apes adapted successfully or their genes change slowler. its like how come some people are smarter then others? if u sort that out for 50 million years you'd get different branches of species.
There is evidence to support evolution, but I find i kind of hard to believe that humans and all other life forms for that matter came from some random chemical species mixing together billions of years ago. There has to be something more.....like creation to begin/guide the process of evolution.
i think no matter who believes what, evolution or creationism, just keep it out of classrooms. The whole point of seperation and church was to make sure religion doesnt end up turning the country into sides and not have religion play a part the general daily lives. if u teach creationism, wat about those who are for instance buddhist? You must then teach reincarnation. but then wat about islamic and watever? U end up turning the country into a bickering bunch of people. Evolution is only science. NOw if you are not going to involve creaitonism into a scientific theory as evolution, then that means i can be a doctor, and then tell you, hey, i couldn't cure you. Maybe your genes are too complicated...i guess it was creationism. Oh well. Creationiosm is fine, but if u can't accept evolution as a scientific theory, then you're at a disadvantage in life. And evolution is in fact a scientific theory. There is no complete proof. I dont really have a problem about creationism but it seems those in the midwest states are fighting because they can't accept evolution.
ok, the theory of evolution does not say we evolved from apes, lol. it is believed that humans and apes have a common ancestor. there are scientists as well, who support evolution, but are still religious..christians for example. It's a personal matter. some people are able to balance both religion and science, so it is possible to maintain belief of evolution and creationalism. how, that's up to the individual. but yeah i did hear an argument for teaching intelligent design at school. hm personally i dont think there's too much evidence or a good argument on creationalism to actually teach it. i agree with nunubutt.
I think it is what we see as unfairness in the public school system that only evolution theory is taught. It is like trying to teach everyone to believe that they should pray to the Virgin Mary. Of course, probably many of us do not do that. So I think it should be fair that all theories should be taught in public school system, even Intelligent Design.
