The Socerer and the White Snake starring Jet Li, Eva Huang Shengyi, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin and Raymond Lam Fung, since opening in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia defeated The Smurfs with US$16 million to reach the top spot in last week's International Box Office chart. The period was from September 29 to October 2, excluding North America. This was the 12th time that Jet Li has topped the international box office chart. The film will open in Japan, South Korea, Western Europe and North America. Earlier the release company Juli announced that the sequel will begin production at the end of the year or early next year. The sequel will be in 3D and the budget will exceed the previous film. The company has already invited Jet Li to join the cast again.

the one with Maggie Cheung and Joey Wong was way better. Whoever is picking Charlene to play these type of roles are idiots, she doesn't have the talent/look to play them. She just doesn't fit these type of characters roles.
Charlene improved throughout the years in terms of acting....but still, she needed work and yes, she's annoying. And her singing, forget it....leave singing alone...... Dunno y u pplz hated Eva. She got her charms in her own ways and i think she's pretty plus, she can act. I wouldnt be comparing her with Maggie and Joey.....
I'm not necessarily comparing Eva to Maggie and Joey, she's no where near their caliber. But the movie has undeniable similarities to Green Snake. Charlene does the cutesy rolls well, but she can't pull off the elegant, and sexy(?)/seductive roles. Unless the character she plays is innocent and what not. I haven't seen the movie. Nor do I plan to.
i am halfway through the movie and i think its just horrible..how did it beat out the smurfs?..charlene's acting sucks...and raymond...cant stand him...god..tired of his good guy roles...*PUKES*!!!!!!!!!!!
Most directors in today's society mostly pick stars based on their popularity. Charlene might lack in acting or looks but she's extremely popular among the Chinese audience. She mostly popular for her cutey type roles which is why that's all you see her in.
actually i wasnt impressed with the movie, the plot was really questionable =\, character development, relationship development is so bad
