I've just finished reading "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Has anybody else read it? What's your opinion about the book? Personally, I've been going through a rough time lately (tons of depression and crap), but this book has helped me get past my episodes for now. I think I've felt Being for the longest time without knowing it, and I might actually go down this path of spirituality. What about you?
I have never read this book before. Not like i like to read anyways but maybe a little description on the book would be awesome.
I havent read the book, but I've been seeing it on Opra alot..>__> she's even doing online tutorial session/ lesson regarding the book. Apparently she really likes it and says it was 'life changing for her'.. she didnt sound very convincing to me.. so,overall you thought it was worth reading?
POWER OF NOW: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment Audiobook read by Eckhart Tolle ISBN: 1-57731-208-2 Size: 7 x CD Running time: 7 1/2 hours Description To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first page of this extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us. A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers, one that can radically change their lives for the better. Perhaps you might like the book "Yes man" by Danny Wallace. I think keeping a good sense of humor about things helps. Might check out your recommendation. Should be an interesting read. Keep the smiles burning
