found this if its any help chart from: http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/healthydiet/healthyweight/heightweightchart/
Agreed, many Asian girls would appear to be in the "ok" range according to height/weight charts but still look chubby because they have little muscle weight (muscle weight significantly more than body fat)... So it's more important to look at fat content than just weight...
yes 60kg && 173 is ok woweeee im slightly underwieght? & in asia i have to buy like size M or even L haha
is that chart for a guy or a girl? cause i'm 5'5" and 53 kilos says i'm underweight...doesn't seem right
It's quite easy-sweat Just read the intersect of the horizontal and vertical line Mine weight is ok, -bigclap
^ No, just use stick to the kilogrames and centimeters. The numbers at the bottom are stones 1 stone = 14 pounds = 6.35029318 kilograms (wikipedia) I just dont know why the US dont switch to the Kilograms and centimeters, so much misunderstanding.
yah.. cuz it says I'm underweight too...brown_bear ... where did you get the chart?? >< cuz shouldn't north americans and asians be different??
whoops....i just got it from google...forgot to say where its from...-sweat http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/healthydiet/healthyweight/heightweightchart/
Yeah, I think it is different cuz the schoolnurse has measured my weight and height ever since I began my studies (1997?) and if you compare my height curve to the average one, mine is bit lower. So definently, the curve is a slight different depending on your orgin. If you wanna know your normal, just calculate your bmi instead of looking at a stupid chart. Here's how to calculate your BMI: With the SI-sys: your weight in kilos/(your height in meters)^2=BMI ex. 60 kg/(1.65•1.65)= 22 With US-sys: 703 • weight/height^2 The normal BMI for a girl in kg/m is a BMI between 18.5-25.
I don't agree with the chart, or BMI's, since I've got a BMI of 19.8, and i'm NO WHERE near underweight, and 19.8 is almost the border for normal.
Are you sure it isn't yourself looking in the mirror thinking "I look fat"? Saw on the high heel post that your length was 1,65 and calculate a little bit makes your weight about 50 kg. Tell you what, I'm shorter and I weight more than you, yet I consider myself quite petite and nice. Don't forget that the BMI tells you how your length relates to your weight, not how the BMI relates to the way you look.
