Got this from a different forum, but it's interesting to test to argue/test your Chinese culture knowldege.

This painting portrays many popular Taoist deities and chinese culture icons.

How many can you identify and who are they?

oo i only recognize 44, 45, 46, 12, and 61

45, chu bak gwai (da perverted pig)
46, sa jing
61, na cha

 

7 and 8- that one cow man, and the girl that gets seperated..Gguo Lang Xit Nu? excuse my pinyin

i have no idea who these ppl r

 

just looking at the picture makes me dizzy... i guess im not very Chinese then. ><

I think the proper canto pinyin for that would be "Ngow Wong Jik Lu"... not sure though. I'm pretty bad with pinyins. :(

What happened to the picture? I was going to try to name some more.
It's actually quite easy if you've seen or read the journey to the west. Most of the characters are in there, or at least mentioned.

 

for the ones i can name r about 25 of them... some of them i recognise as a group but i forgot the names

 

wow a lot of these are from ones from journey to the west

 

whoaa. i dont even recognize half of the painting. the only ones that really stand out to me are probably the ones from journey to the west. >.<

 

Apparently I failed to name any of them.....
