Okay I am currently with telus and I have the samsung SCH U510. I would like to make my own ringtones. I looked at the howardforums, and it hasn't told me how to hack the phone. what gives. What do I need to do to get free ringtones onto my phone?
too bad.. i believe you can not create your own ringtones on that phone, since the firmware is locked by the carrier that controls it.. that phone is like Verizon... most Verizon phones won't allow you to create your own ringtones or put your own games on it.. this is why never go with a CDMA carrier lol.. thats one reason why i hate CDMA carriers hehe.. Go with GSM.. those phones are hackable easier.. and usually allow you to put free games and stuff on it..
my friend is with telus, yet i THINK i remember hearing her custom ringtone..... go have a chat with some sales rep to see what you can do
First mistake you made. Bought a phone form Telus. I have a telus phone too, but as soon as my contract is over I'm switching service providers. If you REALLY want custom ringtones then buy them. Otherwise unless you have a way of connecting your phone to your computer (which I highly doubt with Telus) You're basically screwed.
