Opinions. Yes, no? Upsides, Downsides? I believe the most common procedure dentists use is a technique where they cover your teeth in a hydrogen peroxide gel then shine a blue light over the area in order to make them whiter. Has anyone had this done? I'm tempted to do it, especially if i can get my parent's insurance to cover it or
^ that last one is sooooo dirty lol but based on that last picture alone, i think the choice is clear
I've been considering whitening as well but I'm not sure if I should just buy the whitening strips or go to my dentist...Be careful with the whitening though, you don't want chlorox bleach white teeth or it will seem extremely fake if you know what I mean.
the second one suits you -lol but seriously, white teeth are soooo nice. i think the first thing a lot of people notice first is teeth, so yeah .. but don't be like
I think you should weight teeth whitening. For some people who has history of gum recession, it's not a good choice. For others, it can put them at risk of getting gum recession or putting their gum at a very fragile stage - risk of other gum disease. You should seek a periodontist for a check-up before proceeding with the procedure. A regular dentist would just do it for you if you say yes. Basically, the more dental problems you have, the more s/he earns. It's your choice. I also recommend that you do a bit of research. I know that they are new technology out recently that can whiten your teeth without very little to no gum problem afterward. The only concern is who trained and has such advanced tech in the office as well as the cost of the procedure. Anyhow, if you're into the comestic dental care, might as well pay the price cuz you don't wanna risk having any further dental problems down the line.
Honestly though, if your teeth are not horrible I'd suggest whitening tooth paste. Just use it for like a month or so and you should be fine. As slow as it is, it will give you a more natural white and a considerably lower risk of gum recession, or so I've heard.
If you just brush your teeth then its ok, tooooo white looks like fake teeth to me and is obviously not natural. the second dude the op posted does need whitening though
Oh .. I forgot to point out that when you use any sort of whitening products, your teeth will get very sensitive .. especially to cold stuff.
lol thats one of my favorite episodes of friends. "hey rachel, do you notice anything-" 'yeah, your teeth? I saw them from outside'
^ puhaahahaha...<3 that epi of friends...!!!... esp the bit when the date dims the lights and ya see all them neon signs AND HIS TEETH....hahah
I work in the Dental field.. and the sad truth is... not everyone can whiten there teeth!! if your teeth are normally stained or darker then others.. there is NO real way to whiten them. If they are stained by food, coffee, pop and other stuff then you can give it a try. Whitening causes great sensitivy to the gums!!! Oh.. insurance most likely won't cover because it is a Cosmetic thing and not a necessary treatment.
i think have a teeth whitening is not a bad idea but not too white like Ross, he was hilarious with his bright teeth
I been told by dentist that it have the risk for whitening since the clorox will damage your gum and the result will only stay for few month before it return to actual color.
I've read that there are some (the strip type) that makes your teeth very sensitive. I still think that the dentist is the best place to go for something like this. It is his/her specialty after all.
i think a little whitening is ok but not too much because you are slapping chemicals onto your teeth and something (the whitening stuff) is soaking into your teeth eventually.
