Monday December 03, 2007 Hong Kong Six of Hong Kong's top singing stars, Eason Chan (陳奕迅), Joey Yung (容祖兒), Andy Hui (許志安), Denise Ho (何韻詩), Leo Ku (古巨基) and Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) appeared together on stage at AsiaWorld Expo on 01 December for CRHK's Another Ten Years of Chik Chak and Reunification Concert <又一個叱咤十年回歸音樂會>. A special guest appearance was also made by Sandy Lam (林憶蓮) during the highlight of the show. During the concert, the stars reminisced about the big events of the last ten years and also remembered some late superstars such as Anita Mui (梅艷芳), Leslie Cheung (張國榮) and Roman Tam (羅文). Clips were shown of the superstars and some of their classic songs were performed by the singers. They also took turns to sing each other's songs and some rarely seen duet arrangements. Talking of the unhappiest event in the last tean years, Joey said that her saddest time was when her mentor Roman departed this life and was unable to watch her grow as a singer. Denise spoke of how the death of her mentor, Anita, led her to mature very quickly. Andy also spoke emotionally about how his parents have both passed away in the last decade. Leo recalled how he was very envious of other singers when he was working in China and Eason seemed to shed a tear when he talked about being separated from loved ones. [Eason's father is currently serving a prison sentence for corruption.] The show was a little rough around the edges, with a few mishaps, such as missed lyrics and malfunctioning microphones, but it was a very genuine and touching presentation by the singers who shared many emotions on the stage. When Andy was singing the song "Bicycle" <單車> in memory of his father, he almost broke down in tears and Miriam later explained that she lost track of her song because she was extremely tired. However, she said it was a rare occasion for them all to perform together, so it was worth the hard work. credits: batgwa.
i dont want to sound mean or anything, but if it's top singers, i think they should have gotten Andy Lau, Sammi, and Kelly instead of Denise and Andy Hui. dont wanna offend anyone. that's just what i think. all in all, i still wanna watch this!!
^ I actually agree with you. Since when was Denise a top singer? Oh well, if anything, her popularity only picked up after Anita's death, didn't it? Well, maybe it's just me...dont' like her kind of music
what makes you think andy and sammi have the time to do these events? andys touring around the world and sammi is back on track with her career lots of movie scripts on hand.....you don't think chik chak wanted to get the best singers?
