I've noticed a few photography threads but i haven't found one that actually let me know what kind of camera you're using so i just want to start one and find out how many people really like taking pictures.

(p.s. i just stepped into the DSLR so i'm still trying to learn the art of photograpy)

    My gear:

    Fuji E550/ Nikon D50/Kitlens 18-55/ Tamron 55-200/ Sigma 17-70.
Just bought the Sigma a few days ago and still testing it out.

its a pretty good entry level dslr
still learning all the features it has

i was considered the higher models, but im sure it would have been a waste

most importantly is to learn what this camera can do
and find out wats not enuff, and then upgrade as needed
since lens are reusable if u get another nikon, then most likely
the basic upgrades u need is just some better lens =)

one thing i find is, with the 70-300, it is quite heavy and tiring to hold around ><
and yeah, it is hard to keep it still

gotta learn to take the shot while u hold ur breath, and between heart beats so theres less movement
and definitely invest into a better tripod
cos a lot of shots i take (mainly for scenery cos it looks sooo pretty and relaxing) usually need long exposure
the remote is good so u dont' have to touch the camera

usually i just auto mote, or varying shutter speeds
less on aperature, and def even less on manual
but its nice to use manual, cos u get take the shot how u want, and u don't really need the "focus" selected to take shot
