Although many were skeptical about Shirley Yeung’s (楊思琦) career prospects after leaving TVB last year, her decision has opened up many opportunities for her. Other than filming in Mainland China, Shirley has also had the chance to guest star in the upcoming films Hot Madam <辣警霸王花> and Corgi Prince <哥基王子>. Her popularity among the audience has also seen a gradual incline this past year. With a passion for acting, Shirley expressed a desire for a breakthrough in her acting career. “I really like acting. Although there may be an opportunity to film a new series in Mainland this year, my schedule is tight. Hopefully it will work out! It can’t be helped. I’m the primary breadwinner at home and must face things courageously. Actually, I want to have a breakthrough. After all, when people matures and gains more life experience, they want to uncover different facets of themselves.” Shirley Admits Desire to Find a Companion Following the birth of her daughter Krystal Yeung (楊卓穎) in 2012, Shirley has devoted all her attention to raising Krystal. As a single mother, Shirley disclosed that it is difficult raising a child alone. Although her mother has helped immensely in caring for Krystal, Shirley admitted that she still hopes to find a dependable partner. “I want to find a companion, but this person has not appeared yet. Outside of work, I have to take care of my daughter, so I barely have any spare time. I won’t deliberately think about when this person will appear, but I believe he will appear when the time is right.” In regards to popular fortune teller Mak Ling Ling’s prediction that Shirley will have good fortune in both work and love this year, Shirley laughed and said, “Really? Did she say when? In what ways will we be compatible? If it happens so suddenly, I may not be ready! Since she said so, I will start to pay more attention to those around me so I don’t let him slip away.” Refuses to Discuss Andy Ng Earlier this year, it was reported that Shirley’s former lover Andy Ng (吳帥) appeared at her home unannounced and demanded to see their daughter.
