Sheren Tang Shui Man accepted an interview with QQ.com and spoke about her character in "The Drive of Life." Playing Michael Miu Kiu Wai's wife in the series, Sheren's character is an easily satisified heiress. Sheren had admired Michael as an actor since she was a young girl. On their first collaboration together in "The Drive of Life," Sheren said, "To act as a married couple for 20 years, you need a lot of onscreen compatibility."
Sheren said it was great partnering with Michael, allowing her to immerse into character quickly. Offscreen, she did not feel awkward around Michael and will hold hands with him on the streets.
Since portraying Yu Fei in "War and Beauty," Sheren gained immense popularity. Her character as a weak woman in "The Drive of Life" was the complete opposite of Yu Fei, yet closer to her real life tmperament.
How did Sheren feel about Yu Fei's personality? "I used my personal experiences in the entertainment industry and applied it in the Qing era. Life in the entertainment industry is similiar to the Qing court, as sometimes you are favored while other times you hit rock-bottom. Your state is dependent upon your perservance and actions."
"I like Yu Fei because she has a kind heart, despite circumstances pushed her to act an extreme way. This is characteristic of the entertainment industry as well."

Sheren loves Beijing but recalled her first filming experience there. "Due to the dry weather, I had to turn on two humidifiers in my hotel room. Filming was a nightmare as my skin was extremely dry and we had to use special lighting on set."

Sheren's personality is normally cheerful, giving off a luminous quality. Sheren said adequate sleep is the best method in preserving her luminosity.
