Sharon Chan (陳敏之) is expecting! The 37-year-old actress, who tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend William Lui (雷偉信) in October 2014, announced on social media that she will be expecting a baby boy! “A baby is a blessing!” said the actress on her Weibo on July 1. “Thank you God for this amazing gift from heaven above, a previous little prince to cherish and to love.” Attached to her message is a picture of Sharon looking up to the sky while cradling her protruding belly. Pregnancy gossip has been surrounding the Come with Me <性在有情> star ever since she started hosting the TVB variety show Sunday Stage Fright <Sunday好戲王> earlier this year. At the time, Sharon only said she would take a hiatus after completing the show, and denied being pregnant. She did, however, say she would announce the news when she’s ready. The actress clarified in a later interview that she and her husband chose to announce the pregnancy news on July 1st because it is a public holiday. She believes that delivering happy news on a day when everyone is free from work will make the holiday more meaningful. She added that July 1st is also the 17th wedding anniversary of her close friend, Christine Ng (伍詠薇). Sharon is expecting to deliver her baby boy this December. She has already decided to deliver the baby via C-section; while she is afraid of pain, she also believes that c-sections would be safer as she has weak pelvic bones that easily succumb to injury.
