Selena Li (李施嬅) has been in the entertainment industry for more than 12 years. Although she has starred as the female lead in several dramas, the 34-year-old actress has still not secured her status at TVB. Despite being praised by Liza Wang (汪明荃) for her performance in Master of Destiny <風雲天地>, Selena continues to be cast in second or third line roles. Feeling that her climb to the top is futile, Selena diverted her attention away from her acting career and is instead focused on nurturing her relationship with entrepreneur boyfriend, Christopher Hodgson (潘樹維). Although the couple has only been dating for a year, Selena is ready to settle into marriage. With her static career and Christopher’s family’s desire for a low-profile daughter-in-law, Selena has significantly reduced her workload in the past year to appease his family. With an approximate filming schedule of only three weeks, Selena believes that this will allow her to both fulfill her contractual obligations to TVB and still be able to focus on her dating life.
