The 12th Annual Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Film Awards started under negative comments yesterday night in the The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jockey Club Auditorium. Like the past annual ceremonies, not many super stars had came to support. The auditorium was only half filled. Many award winners didn't show up and their awards are accept by other people. Sean Andy Lau was once again the winner of Best Actor by his awarded film "My Name is Fame". The Best Actress award have double winners: Gong Li by "The Curse of Golden Flower" and Charlene Choi by "Simply Actors". Double winners occur again for the award "Best Music". Triple winners also occur for the award "Best Movie". The result seem doubtable. There are not many stars show up in the Golden Bauhinia Film Awards. There are only On On Yu, Sean Andy Lau and his wife Amy Kwok, Simon Yam, Idy Chan, 2R, Wong Ji, Richie Jen, and Cheung Tat Ming etc. When Sean Andy Lau received the Best Actor Award from Patrick Tse and Kenneth Tsang, he said, "I felt honored receiving an award from two old seniors in acting." Kenneth Tsang immediately reply he's only seniors in acting, not old. There are two winners for the Best Actress award this year. Sean Andy Lau said, "I wish there are two winners for Best Actor next year because we can talk. I felt a little loney." Lau was surprised when he heard the announcement of his winning. His wife Amy Kwok is not as emotional as for her husband's previous winning, but tears are still dropping from her eyes. It is the first time for Charlene Choi to receive her Best Actress Award in Hong Kong (her first Best Actress award was received in Korea). She also voted the Most Popular Best Actress Winner online. Charlene was in TVB's "Jade Solid " so she didn't show up for the GBA. When it was announced that she won the award, a previously taped thanking video was played. But when she knew she had won the award, she immediately show up to the ceremony and share enjoyment with Sean Andy Lau. Charlene said that she wants to scream and never thought she would win this award. The first one she wants talk to is her mom. She wants to thank mostly the director and all staffs and workers in "Simply Actors", especially Jim Chim. She cried when she was talking about all the things above. She also said that she cannot compare with Gong Li.
