Sammul Chan Replaced by Raymond Lam in “Triumph in the Skies” Sequel May 10th, 2011 Sammul Chan ended his long-time employment at TVB and decided to focus his career in China instead. Sammul criticized TVB for compensating its artists poorly, citing its tendency to even bargain for $10 (HKD). Of course, TVB was unwilling to let one person sully its reputation and would retaliate! Since the successful broadcast of Triumph In The Skies <衝上雲霄>in 2003, TVB had wanted to film a sequel. Allegedly, TVB will film the Triumph in the Skies sequel at the end of the year, starring three members of the original S4 cast: Ron Ng, Bosco Wong, and Kenneth Ma. However, Sammul was ousted from the series and Raymond Lam will join the cast instead! Adding in New Blood; Money Is No Problem TVB regards the Triumph in the Skies sequel as an important drama for next year. TVB will film both a series sequel and a movie to boost the popularity of the Triumph in the Skies franchise. Aside from boosting its male lead cast, additional artists, such as Mag Lam and Cilla Lok will be added to the series. As for Francis Ng’s pilot character, TVB was considering seeking outside assistance. Not sparing production expenses, filming locations will include Europe and Southeast Asia. Sammul’s manager was agitated in responding to news that he was ousted from the Triumph in the Skies sequel, “We no longer have a partnership with TVB. We decided to leave the company. When he still had a contract with TVB, Sammul had to film whatever role was offered to him. There’s no need to ask him to film the sequel now.” (Did TVB contact Sammul?) “Why would they contact us? Sammul still has three series to film. He has no spare time.”
oh man that singer girl looks pretty damn ugly without all that make up and touch up. But Triumph in the skies sequel lol it should just be a whole new damn show. Doubt they can get Francis and Flora Chan so why bother and that one chick whats her name but the other main love interest. So basically half of the original cast is gone and Francis is pretty much irreplaceable. And by the way Cilla can suck my balls. literally Thats a note to pok guy probably a couple of posts down.
nothing beats the original cast!! Flora Chan, Francis Ng and Joe Ma were the original stars of the show..... half the actors from Triump have left TVB...... i doubt the sequel will compare to the original. Mag Lam and Cilla ... all i have to say is errrrrr....... kids just go back to school why don't you? Mag's really not pretty .... improve on your singing first before go into acting....
Flora Chan is busy with her family, Francis Ng is busy with his movie career and Joe died in the first series... It's pretty much a new series with a similar theme. So far the male cast is decent but they will need so stronger female leads. All those Cilla Pok guy bandwagon jumpers...sigh
for the people who bitched about TVB here and there, GTFO....it' TOO easy..... I guaranteed that leaves room for more new talents. I only respect those who stays, and put up with TVB all these years yea, i agree... mag is ugly, but her singing is not.
This sounds like it could be good but I do think the original was overrated, got very boring with love triangle at the end eps.

Sammul leaving isn't a big deal, for many years, his acting was terrible and only recently was it a litte better but it's no lost to viewers. I don't even remember much of him in "Triumph in the Skies"
seriously, what is the point of filming the sequel...everyone is basically gone (flora, sammul, francis, michelle, etc)....i bet this sequel is gonna be like "burning flame"...probably it will be the same topic but totally different cast and storyline...
They do wanna film with the original cast (at least some of them).. is just that most of them left already (whether to movie productions or being unhappy). lol
