Wednesday December 05, 2007 Hong Kong Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) attended the launch party of the Blu-ray HD DVD of her 2007 show mi Sammi Cheng concert today. The success of her first concert in three years has made her very happy but only marks the first step in her return to showbiz. Sammi has accepted a part in a comedy <查之女> by Alan Mak (麥兆輝) and Felix Chong (莊文強), in which she will play a senior inspector who worried about not being able to find a husband. She laughed that this role is quite similar to her real life situation, but she is pleased with her career at the moment and she will think more about marriage later. Andy Lau (劉德華), with whom Sammi has co-operated with on many occasions, has signed with East Asia and invited Sammi to be a guest at his contract signing ceremony. She is very pleased about this and hopes that they will have the opportunity to work together again in the future. credits: batgwa.
