Ruco Chan Interested in Naked Bungee Jumping

Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), who won TV King for the third time at Singapore’s Starhub TVB Awards this past weekend, attended an event in Tuen Mun with his A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄> costar, Moon Lau (劉佩玥). The 39-year-old actor, who has filmed several dramas in Macau, talked about his travel experiences in the former Portuguese colony. On the topic of the Macau Tower, which hosts the world’s highest bungee jump, Ruco confessed that he has an interest in naked bungee jumping. Moon joked that she would love to see Ruco “spread his wings”, a reference to Ruco’s Chinese name, Chin-pang.

Ruco added in a later interview, “I’ve seen some foreign countries train their models to sky dive [naked],” said Ruco. Asking if he will choose someone more “still” (referring to Ruco’s rumored girlfriend Nancy Wu) to do the sky dive with him, Ruco joked, “Someone more still? A firefighter then!” (Have you tried skinny dipping before?) “Yes, in my bath.”

The A Fist Within Four Walls star, who won Singapore’s TV King for the third time on Saturday, said he has the confidence to win again in Malaysia and Hong Kong. “I have confidence every year, but when it comes to awards, it really depends on luck and timing. I hope every one of my dramas and roles get good results.”

The final episode of Brother’s Keeper 2 <巨輪II>, which aired last Friday, surpassed A Fist Within Four Walls as the most-watched series finale of the year, at 33.3 rating points. Four Walls only averaged 32.9 points. The high television ratings of Brother’s Keeper 2 was most likely due to Friday’s typhoon, Haima.

Ruco, who guest starred on Brother’s Keeper 2, is happy for the show’s success. Asking if he is interested in filming a third part, Ruco said, “I’m interested, but the star of the show is really Edwin Siu (蕭正楠). My partner Linda Chung (鐘嘉欣) is also married and has to take care of her daughter. If the script really calls for it, I’ll come back.”
