Drinker beware! I am quite sure I'll be picking up the shots rather than the smoke... if I HAD to choose between the two evils, at least I would be enjoying myself -devil

"Three or more drinks a day, whether beer, wine or spirits, boost a woman's risk of breast cancer"

i was like 3 or more drinks..uh oh..as i drink water quite a lot throughout the day....and then realised it meant alcohol...-lol

I am sure they will be conducting studies to "show" that male with a regular drinking habit will run a higher risk of... say prostate cancer?

In fact, I've got it figure out... It's a conspiracy to deter alcohol consumption!!! -pirate

LOL, that's what risk-taking means, I guess... You may be the lucky one who wouldn't develop any anomalies even with all the bad habits in the world combined twice over. -tongue2

"Virtues" are often than not overrated.

abstinence is the way for me :) of course i'll probably have a few drinks in my entire lifetime but i'd rather keep my body "clean" in the sense that i don't want to be risking the ill effects of alcohol.

Dont worry that much, breast cancer are not frequently diagnosed by men. The risk that you wil have breast cancer by drinking alcohol is around 1 percent. Form 100 patients with breast cancer, there wil be around 1 men and 99 females diagnosed with breast cancer. But this doesnt means that you can drink a lot of alcohol. Most male patient around the age of 45 with a high weight and bad healthy food/drink consumstion (drinking a lot of alcohol and eating alot of fat meals) are diagnosed with something else like steatosis.

If you just eat/drink normally (not to much of this or that) and take regulair exercises, the risk of getting ill wil be far lower than whatever i have wrote earlier.
