Last night, a shocking news circulated that 'God of Songs' Samuel Hui's older brother Ricky Hui passed away of a heart attack. According to the news, Ricky has been suffering from heart disease for a long while, and lived off of a heart pacemaker. Yesterday Ricky felt unwell and when a friend visited him later that night, no one answered the door. The friend quickly notified Sam and his brother Michael Hui and called the police. When the Hui brothers finally opened the door, they found Ricky lying on the bed dead. He was 65 years old.
Love his movies along with his brothers... i was just watchin them and was hopin they would make a comeback... RIP
Reminds me off how many great celebrities there are in HK, all slowly going away. Definitely a different generation of talent compared to today. RIP.
damn RIP, I will always remember your movies back in the 80s and 90s...will re-watch Mr. Vampire all over again :(
RIP didn't realize he was that old already. It seems like just yesterday ... sigh ... time waits for no one. The very least it was a good way to go ... in his bed, hopefully peacefully.
So sad that he passed away at home and no one knew. Must be very shocking and sudden for his family and friends. RIP...
Man, there was one movie with him and Sam, I don't remember what it was called, but it was hilarious! And he was in Mr. Vampire, freakin loved that movie. Rest in Pease Ricky.
Found out this morning and it's pretty upsetting to hear he has passed away. Loved his movie with Lam ching ying (he died too, liver cancer) in the Mr.Vampire series. Rest in Peace Ricky Hui.

RIP Ricky.... It's sad to know that all these great actors of the last gen will slowly leave one by one....and theres nothing that can prevent the day we will miss the heck outta them.
