Why does catholisisim and christianity have so many different sects and branches but all believe in the same god is it because back in the day they figured out it generates revenue so they decided to divide themselves up so they can get more.
no.. Catholics are Christians!! There are different types of Christianity because there are some difference in their belief's usually moral values and how they interpret the Bible. Catholics are the strictest Christians so no sex before marriage and doesn't believe in divorce, abortion etc.. Protestants are less strict so they agree in sex before marriage if the couples are not going to split etc... And i don't believe there different types of Christianity are trying to raise money for the religion itself.. its usually for the church and preists.. so they can run venues and functions at the church.. so no it's not for personal gain
